Welcome to the Genootschap Nederland-Engeland Breda Branch.
Our aim is to promote friendly relations between The Netherlands and the United Kingdom, chiefly by making England and the English point of view on literature, art and politics more wideley known in our country.
The Genootschap Nederland-Engeland was established in 1920; the Breda Branch in 1987. Our branch now has about 90 members. On September 1st, 2007, Breda Branch celebrated its 20th anniversary.

Our speaker of the evening, Mr Noel Ross-Russell, gave a much appreciated lecture on Film Music some years ago. This time, as the title indicates, we will hear, straight from the horse’s mouth as it were, about life in a symphony orchestra. Also he will tell us some behind-the-scenes tales about conductors that he has met and worked with.
Noel was trained at the Royal College of Music and Guildhall School of Music. He has played the trumpet with the London Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic orchestras and freelanced as a conductor. During the last twenty years he has lived in
